Secret Seven came from last to first to run out a cosy winner of the 47-65 handicap over a mile-and-a-half at Tramore. Carraroe Flyer soon led and was clear before halfway. Mind The Pennies looked set for victory when claiming the front-runner two furlongs out and kicking a few lengths clear.
Billy Lee, bagging a double after the first race victory of Asknotwhat was pushing along on Secret Seven at the top of the hill as she trailed the field.
The John Hassett-trained filly rounded her rivals turning for home and swooped inside the final furlong to claim Mind The Pennies.
She was going away at the line for a three-and-three-quarter length victory. Bomber Jackson got up close home to claim the runner-up spot.
The 14/1 winner was returning to the Flat having been well held on her recent starts over hurdles.
"Turning the bend about three furlongs out I said I had no chance, I thought she might run into a place but once I got a couple of smacks into her she took off and she stayed well, she would stay two miles,” said Lee.
“Hopefully there will be another day in her. They were hoping she would run well, they were just worried a bit about the trip being on the sharp side for her and it turned out that it probably was, but they came back to her and once they met the rising ground she stayed well." Sultana Belle was sent off the 2/1 favourite but could only manage to finish back in fourth.
