There was a second winner in the David Spratt colours on the evening at Leopardstown when 5/2 favourite (from 100/30) Automated justified his market position in the Grant Thornton Handicap.
Brilliant servant Brendan Brackan took one of the big ones earlier on. There Gary Carroll sported Spratt's yellow and green on Ger Lyons' runner in the Listed Glencairn Stakes.
Gordon Elliott fielded both Automated and Ondamoura for the penultimate event at the Foxrock venue and whilst the latter didn't come up to expectations all certainly wasn't lost for the Cullentra House handler.
Colin Keane got a great tune from Automated from over a furlong out and he eventually accounted for the long-absent Dara Tango by two and three parts of a length.
On his first ride since his Derby heroics Padraig Beggy finished third here on He's Our Man
"He was entitled to win on the best of his hurdles form," said Elliott.
"We should have a bit of fun with him and we'll see where we go now. He'll mix it and he'll definitely go back over hurdles at some point."
