Davy Russell completed a 112/1 Fairyhouse treble when winning the Grade A Download The App BARONERACING.COM Handicap Hurdle on Charles Byrnes' Wonder Laish (4/1 into 100/30 favourite).
Wonder Laish was produced travelling smoothly from two out but in the end he was holding on from the fast finishing Tudor City (Robbie Colgan was without the aid of his stick close home).
Meanwhile third home Saglaway, three parts of a length off Tudor City, wasn't helped by a mistake at the last.
Russell won on Gordon Elliott's Chief Justice and Delta Work earlier.
“It was a big plus getting Davy (Russell). I asked Gordon (Elliott) earlier in the week and he said leave it with me so I have to thank him," said Byrnes.
“We had nothing to spare. He got 17lb for the last day and once again the handicapper was right.
“Davy gave him a brilliant ride. He was winning well at the last and he just gets the two miles. He jumped unbelievable, and these 100,000 handicaps are not easily won. It was great to get it.
“He’s a nice mark on the Flat to go back to next year. He likes a little dig in the ground and doesn’t want it really quick.
“He could go for something like the race in Leopardstown (at the Dublin Racing Festival). It’s a pity the owner (Martin White from Adare) couldn’t make it today.
“I thought the other horse (Off You Go) ran a bit free early on and he might have been better covered up.”
R.C. Colgan, rider of Tudor City trained by A.J.Martin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that he dropped his whip in the closing stages.
