If it was run again (the Munster National) he might win but it just didn't work out for him on the day - Davy probably should have kicked on but he gave him a great ride there so I wouldn't be blaming him. Anyway today he said that he struggled a bit on the ground and he will be wrapped-up for the winter. He wants better ground. He is in at Ascot next week but I'd say that would be unlikely.

I thought he'd win and it's nice when they prove you right. He will go to Galway next and I will make entries for him in the Amateur race, Galway Hurdle and Plate. We ran him in two last year which may not have been a good idea. I have a feeling that he may not be quick enough for the hurdle.

He was good there and he stayed on well. Tim [Carroll] gave him a good ride, he did exactly what he was told and it worked out well thankfully. Two miles would probably suit him better. I'm not sure where we'll go now I have the Galway Plate in mind but I don't know if he's good enough and the same owners own Nicanor and we're going to bring him back for the Plate. He is rated highly over hurdles too but we'll definitely go for another flat race.

He was a bit better than them over hurdles and he seems to have done that very well. I like to start them off round here as it can give them a bit of confidence over the small fences. He doesn't like real heavy ground and he'll probably have a rest now until the middle of the winter.

He was disappointing on Sunday and we only declared him two minutes before the time for this race. He won two novice races and we always thought he was decent horse. He will possibly go to Punchestown and if not we'll put him away until Galway.

That possibly wasn't the strongest of Novice Hurdles but we thought he'd go on the ground. He's a stronger horse this year and he jumps well. We'll go for the For Auction Race at Navan with him next.
