The horses are all going well. We worked them all on Tuesday and their scopes were clean and bloods were good. We had two fancied horses coming here today. On home work Rahmi (fourth) is a flashy worker but this horse when you get him to the races, and he gets into that rhythm, he’s hard to pass. That bit of rain we’ve had the last few days suited him. A stiff mile here is good for him, he’s very brave and when he gets to the front he doesn’t like being passed. He has improved this horse. I suppose he is not bred to sprint, but I think he is an out and out sprinter off a good fast pace. It was a good race and I don't know where the money came from, maybe it was the Colin Keane factor. I don't know, but he's not a bad horse. It is great for the lads. I'm delighted for them as they are great owners. The second ran a cracker, he got 10lb for winning the last day and he has upped his game. I'd say with Apache Outlaw we might just put him to bed for a while. We might come back for the All-Weather Finals in Newcastle and look at a race pre-race. Class is permanent and form is temporary! It's been a while since he won but he ran a great race in the premier handicap at Cork (last month), where he finished fourth,. We ran him in the Curragh the last day where he was drawn right out on the wing and he got very upset in the stalls and he ran very freely. He was in good form and we just felt that Fairyhouse would suit him, around a bend, that he'd be able to relax and drop it, which he did. Adam gave him a good ride, he was very cool on him. The plans for the boys are that they're always over for the end of July and that's where he'll go. I'll see what the handicapper gives him and we'll try and get him into those two big handicaps in Galway. If he's going to get in off his current mark I'll leave him but if not I might have to run him again. Sarah rode him out yesterday and said he was in great form. We were afraid Brains might take us on and hassle us but Chris (Hayes) got him out good and sharp. He was okay until turning out of the back straight when another horse got carted with and hassled him a bit. Once they are going a good even gallop he enjoys it and that’s three he’s won this year. Aileen owns him and loves him and the girl that minds him, Winnie, adores the horse so it will be a happy team going home. Aileen sneaked off at the sales and bought him. I was wondering what she was doing but he’s better than the ones I was buying!. Once you go into the high 70s or low 80s you are kind of limited for options and that’s why there are not too many runners in these races because people don’t keep them in training due to the lack of opportunities.
