FormscanBy Mark Nunan - The novice SHE TOPS THE LOT is still looking for a first win after six starts over fences but has been very consistent and might get her turn here. She’s twice chased home the progressive Downthecellar at Tramore and stuck to her task when runner-up back in a beginners’ chase at Sligo last time. She has a nice bit of experience at this stage and Mike O’Connor’s 5lb claim will help as well. Black Samurai comes here at the top of his game but his three wins this season have been over further with his most recent success coming over 2m7f at Killarney. He looks vulnerable over this trip. Last year’s winner Jack Holiday was a close third on his penultimate start and might bounce back having stopped quickly last time while Western Sea has been beaten no more than around five lengths on his last three starts and has to enter calculations. The well-bred Pairc Na Ngael went close to landing a gamble over hurdles at Limerick last Christmas and looks a potential ‘springer’ in the market at the foot of the handicap.
