Nine horses have been declared for the Grade 2 Red Mills Chase at Gowran on Saturday next with last year's winner Rubi Light the stand out name.

The Robbie Hennessy trained gelding is expected to take part in the 2m 4f contest before heading to Cheltenham for a possible crack at the Ryanair Chase.

The Willie Mullins trained Apt Approach who has been in excellent form this season, winning his three starts, is an interesting entry.

The 9yo son of Bob Back beat Hennessy second and fourth, Roberto Goldback and Follow The Plan in the Grade 2 Kinloch Brae at Thurles last time out and he seems to be improving with each run this season.

China Rock who finished a slightly disappointing fifth in the Hennessy yesterday could also take his chance while Trafford Lad who ran his best race for a long time at Clonmel earlier this month is also entered.

Handicappers Quarryvale & Gentle Alice could take big step ups in class while The Fonze, Quiscover Fontaine and Chicago Grey complete the field.
