The meeting scheduled for Navan tomorrow afternoon has fallen victim to the recent wintry weather and has been cancelled following a mid-day inspection.
The track was found to be unfit for racing with Clerk of the Course Paddy Graffin reporting, “We had quite severe temperatures last night going down to about -4C and there is frost in the ground where we have raced before on the outside of the hurdle line where we will be by-passing and throughout the chase track.
“We would need a thaw from this evening into tomorrow morning for us to think about racing so in my opinion we are unfit to race and given the forecast overnight we will be unable to race tomorrow.
The two Sunday meetings at Punchestown and Cork are also in some doubt with inspections planned tomorrow.
The point-to-point meetings this weekend at Tattersalls and Boulta have been cancelled due to the severe cold snap.
