Lorna Fowler plans to change things around with Colonel Mustard with a step back up in trip on the agenda.
The Makfi gelding was a beaten favourite in second over an extended two-mile hurdle at Punchestown on Tuesday.
That followed on from a third place in a Grade 2 hurdle at Ascot last month.
The trainer said: "I'm not going to lie, I was disappointed with the result as I thought I'd found a good opportunity to win.
"He was beaten by a better horse, though, and brought it all to the table as he always does.
"He is nine and had probably has put in just two bad runs - how many horses do that having finished fifth in a Champion Hurdle (in March) and been placed in multiple Grade Ones? I won't for a second take away from how lucky we are to have him.
"I have a few things I'm thinking about and am trying to think outside the box because of where he is at, but need to sit back and mull a few ideas. I'd like to step him back up in trip as definitely the longer trips suit him."
