Flame Of Eire proved a revelation for Andy Slattery last season completing a four-timer in handicaps and connections are looking at stepping her up in class this spring.

The Mehmas filly started off her winning streak off a mark of 59 at Limerick in July and just over two months later, following further wins over a mile at Galway and Bellewstown, completed the four-timer at the Listowel Festival.

Those four victories saw her raised a total of 29lb and she signed off the season when beaten just a length and a half in fourth behind Toy in the Listed Garnet Stakes at Naas.

The Killenaule trainer’s brother and assistant Brian Slattery said, "She is in great order and is working really well.

“She went to the Curragh recently for an away day and looks to have improved again. Fingers crossed that she can keep coming, but she looks incredible at the minute.”

Flame Of Eire holds entries in both the Irish Lincoln and the Group 3 Park Express Stakes on the opening day of the turf season at the Curragh (March 25) and Slattery added, "We don't know yet (which race) - we are going to keep our options open but we are very happy with her.

“Touch wood, she will run in one of those two races. She has wintered very well and has got strong."
