Shane Foley backers are in profit of over 80 Euros to a Euro level stake for all his mounts in the 2020 turf campaign, and followers of the season's leading jockey were collecting again after his win on Inflection Point (9/4 out to 11/4) in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden at Bellewstown. King Of Stars (4/6 favourite) chased him home at a distance of four lengths
Fresh from his success with Strong Johnson in the Rockingham at the Curragh at the weekend, Kieran Cotter sent out Inflection Point and he made all.
Despite holding his head high with blinkers on again, the winner took a keen hold and he was pushed along two furlongs out.
Staying on well in the final furlong, the four-year-old ultimately achieved success in comfortable fashion.
“We said coming here that this was his Derby, going down the hill and around as he has loads of pace,” said Cotter.
“It's taken us a while to try and get a handle on him. Hopefully he can learn from that and go forward. He's not the most straight-forward. Shane gave him a super ride.
“Maybe he'll progress from here. It was an ordinary race but he won well.
“The last day we maybe just sat on him a bit too much, horses got up around him and he was all buzz and too strong.
“He showed it there today. He's only had a handful of runs and hopefully he's learning.”
At the request of the Stewards, J.A. Heffernan, rider of Rojo trained by John M.Burke, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was quite nervous going to post and got a fright when the stalls opened and veered right.
