Roscrea club on the mark again with Bell
The Cistercian College Roscrea Racing Syndicate had The Midnight Club do them proud before the Riccis stepped in to buy the Bobbyjo Chase winner and the club saw their own black and white silks carried to success in the closing Rockview (Q.R.) INH Flat Race at Fairyhouse by Patrick Mullins on Vesper Bell
Nine to ten favourite Vesper Bell didn't look like he'd pick up in time at the business end but he galloped on strongly close home to beat Aupcharlie by a neck.
Winning trainer Willie Mullins, completing a double after the win of The Midnight Club, said: "He is a grand big sort – a chaser in the making.
"I'm not sure if he'll go for a winners bumper; he might go hurdling with a view to going over fences next season."
