The Stewards interviewed Davy Moran, rider of Intense Focus (USA), placed third, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race.

Evidence was heard from the rider concerned.

Having viewed the video of the race and considered the evidence which included a report from the Turf Club Veterinary Officer, the Stewards were of the opinion that Davy Moran had used his whip excessively and had also used it with excessive force and frequency.

Having considered his recent record in this regard, the Stewards therefore suspended him for 2 racedays (dates to be confirmed by the Turf Club).
