Navan Tue, 8th Apr, 2025  Saturn He does stay well. I feel a bit emotional getting him back because he was all set to go to the Ebor and he had a little bit of a setback, and we were lucky to keep him. It is a testament to the vets at Anglesey Lodge that he is here, they worked tirelessly with him. He had won the 'win and you're in Ebor race' (at Curragh) last year and he was going for that, and it was just unfortunate we had a turn of events. Fair play to his owner/breeders, they have been patient and he has got back to winning ways. He was only ready to start today. We didn't have him fully wound up because we said it would probably be the end of April or middle of May before we get him out. Then we saw the dry spell last week and we put him on the box to the Curragh at the end of last week. Scott said he took two big blows and he is going to improve no end. He's big and strong and is still a full horse. I think we are only starting to see the best of him. He was a very, very playful young horse and today, professional-wise, he was a different horse. I'd imagine he will end up in one of the staying races at Royal Ascot. I hope we have a very exciting season with him.

Cork Sun, 6th Apr, 2025  Saratoga Special she deserved that and has got stronger this year. We are happy with her although Shane said she was very keen in the early stages. He’d have forgiven her being beaten as she was so keen but was fresh and well. If there is a good pace she could stay six furlongs and we’ll look forward to a nice year. She’ll come back here for the Polonia Stakes next month.

Leopardstown Sun, 30th Mar, 2025  Dark Viper I thought he’d never get his head in front, and he was going up and up in the handicap as well. He had a nice draw and was sitting there waiting. Luckily the gap opened, and he was able to take it. I’ve had blinkers on him, cheekpieces on him, we’ve tried everything, and he did it today with nothing. We’ll keep him at seven furlongs or a mile and hopefully he’s got a taste for it now.

Naas Sun, 23rd Mar, 2025  Hurricane Ivor When he’s on song he’s on song!. He worked really well the other day up Walsh’s Hill (at the Curragh). Scott rode him and he tanked up there. I had no idea, I thought the ground was maybe a bit heavy for him but when he’s in a going mood like that he’s very strong. He loves bossing it. When he won last year on the Curragh, actually on good ground, Shane let him just roll along. As he’s got older seven furlongs seems to be no problem and he might go a mile. He’s such a cool dude. On that ground if you get away they can’t make up ground on you. He just loved it and Scott said the more he pulled out of him the more he wanted to run away with him. He’s a character. He’s been some servant to Fiona (Carmichael).
