Gowran Park Wed, 2nd Apr, 2025  Falcon Eight He loved being out in front and enjoyed himself. The ground was very suitable for him; he stays well and was fit from hurdling. Romzina didn’t stay, and she will go back to a mile and a half.

Gowran Park Wed, 2nd Apr, 2025  Deressa She did it well and everything worked out. She was very consistent last year, was rated 82 coming into today, and carried through that consistent form to win. She was fit and well coming here and got a lovely ride from Chris Hayes.

Leopardstown Sun, 30th Mar, 2025  Tarima That was a nice performance by the filly and she’ll learn a lot from it. Chris hadn’t planned to sit quite so far back on her, but she just gets turned sideways when they jump (from stalls) and he had to sit and do the right thing and ride her with confidence. She was a backward filly as a two-year-old and I didn’t get to teach her that much – she was growing and developing. She is going to learn an awful lot from that race.

Leopardstown Sun, 30th Mar, 2025  Tarima I’d say it was a good renewal of the race, a very competitive Group 3. I was delighted with her as it was only her second start. She won over a mile here last year and my concern was that seven might be a little too sharp for her. My reason for running her was that she would learn a lot from it, and I thought she came home very nicely. We’ll see how she comes out of the race, but my present thoughts would be to head for something like the Irish 1,000 Guineas. She is a filly that will hopefully get ten furlongs as the season progresses.

I expect a lot of progress in the filly and hopefully she develops to be a Stakes filly. I trained her two half sisters to win eight Group 1’s. I would see her going beyond a mile but have an open mind on when we go beyond a mile. The Irish 1,000 Guineas has to be a consideration but let’s take smaller steps first.

Curragh Sun, 16th Mar, 2025  Bint Queen Kindly .She’d been working nicely, and is potentially a very nice filly,. Chris gave her a very nice ride. I wanted him to teach her on her first run and she quickened up nicely. I think you’ll see an even better performance on better ground. She’ll probably never want firm ground - will always like an ease in the ground. She’ll want seven to a mile. There is a lot of speed in the family, and she has a lot of pace. We’ll look at a Stakes race for her next and go from there. The horses are running well, and we had two nice winners recently in Dundalk.
