Shinrock proves tough on return
He's very much a hard horse to get fit. If you remember last year he wasn't impressive at Punchestown before going on to land the Grade 1 hurdle at Navan,. We weren't able to get a grass gallop into him but he worked well on Duninga gallops a couple of weeks ago. Alain said he gave an awful heave turning in but he picked up again. He's very very tough and will come on for that. We'll go for the Hatton's Grace now and we'll see where we stand after that. I'm glad to get him back on track. He'll improve a lot from the run. I'm glad for Barry as he was so disappointing at Cheltenham.
Captain in control on comeback
That's lovely. Just what the doctor ordered,. His jumping has improved from last year - although there wasn't a lot wrong with it. He was very quick over his last three fences today. That's the first box ticked and the next question is what are the other boxes. There are a lot of races for him and I don't want to commit right now. The ultimate aim is the Queen Mother and we'll take it day-by-day. He looks as good as ever. I'll look at something in late November, early December. There's the Tingle Creek and Durkan Chase. Then we'll look at the Dial-A-Bet Chase at Leopardstown over Christmas. I don't want to abuse him and he'll get a nice break then before Cheltenham. He's an exciting prospect and I'm blessed to have him.
Vrai looks the part
He's a proper horse. He's a chaser really and shouldn't be at this at all,. He probably won't run for a while, before Christmas, He's a nice horse. He jumps well and travels well. He'll probably be a three-mile chaser.
Kakagh swoops late under Colgan
I thought he wanted further than two miles but I said I'd go to Naas as he'd learn a lot,. It's a good track and a stiff two miles. That was only his fourth run ever. We nearly lost him last February. He needed 64 litres of fluid intravenously and we were up all night holding a drip. He's a gorgeous horse and we'll take it from here with him.
O'Hares back in Naas winners' enclosure
O'Shea back again to give O'Hares double
Hopefully the next one can win as well. This lad did it well and Paddy said he won easy. When the other horse came to him he picked up again,.
Brady aims high with Man
I thought he was a certainty and told the owner to put the dough down today to get her money back,. I knew he needed a fast gallop so sent the other horse (Audrelles Dream) out to go as fast as she could and make it for us. I'll think about the winners' bumper at Down Royal and then I might think about Cheltenham for him. He's a serious hurdler and has done plenty of schooling already. I'll look at either the Supreme Novice Hurdle or Cheltenham Bumper. He's as good as I've ever trained.
