Goldikova and Canford Cliffs set to clash

Freddie Head says there is an "80 per cent" chance Goldikova will run in the Queen Anne Stakes next at Royal Ascot.

The superstar mare beat Richard Hannon's Paco Boy in the contest last year and looks all set for a clash with the same stable's Canford Cliffs this time around.

She will be going for an incredible 14th Group One win in the race after landing the Prix d'Ispahan at Longchamp on Sunday.

Head said: "It's an 80 per cent chance she will come to Ascot next. It's not definite yet but it's a good chance she will go.

"I don't especially want to take Canford Cliffs on but if we have to we will!

"She looks as good as ever. Her stamina was stretched (in the Prix d'Ispahan) but over a mile she is a bit different.

"She looks beautiful this morning and she has taken the race very well."

Canford Cliffs is the general 5/4 favourite for the Queen Anne with Goldikova a 6/4 chance.
