Gowran Park Thu, 9th May, 2024  King Of The Bronx That was a surprise anyway!. I was hoping he’d be one for handicaps. Robbie said the race fell apart in front of him and in fairness to him he stuck at it. We were off the bridle going up the hill on the far side, but he stayed on past a few and got a bit of confidence with that. He got there in the end. He has schooled over hurdles already so we’ll see what we can do with him.

Curragh Sun, 21st Apr, 2024  Magical Vision We were hopeful today. I was a little bit concerned about the ground being tacky, but she seemed to handle it well. She travelled very well, and I think five is definitely her trip. We’ll keep an eye on the weather now and she won’t run on quick ground.

Fairyhouse Mon, 1st Apr, 2024  Bottler'secret He's a lovely straightforward horse. He races lazily which you'd love in a horse coming off the Flat. He jumped really well there today. The cheekpieces just helped him travel a little bit better. He was behind the bridle a lot the last day. He went to the line really well and hopefully there is more to come. I wouldn't say he has to have it this soft, I'd say on the Flat it was important because he probably just lacked a gear.

Cork Sat, 30th Mar, 2024  Uncle Albert I said before coming down that I'd have been gutted if this lad had been beaten so it is great to get off the mark for year. He worked very well during the week, is tough, genuine, loves the ground and had good form last year. He has improved and he can go through that ground. Declan said he caught him out as he fell asleep halfway through the race but said he went with him when he asked. He probably won too far but on that ground what can you do. We have had great luck with his sire Dragon Pulse and hopefully now there could be a nice pot in him. He would be ground dependent though so I'm the only one hoping it keeps raining!

Naas Sun, 25th Feb, 2024  Bottler'secret He’s a nice horse. It might not have been the greatest renewal of a Grade 3 but for his first day he jumped well. He was a little bit big and slow early on but the further he went the better he got. It would have been nice if we’d got more experience into him. I thought we’re getting on in the year and we’d pitch him in at the deep end. If he didn’t win he’d be a novice next year. He’s in the Triumph but I don’t know if he’ll go there. If he had a bit more experience he would but it is what it is at this stage. There are plenty of options at Fairyhouse, Aintree and Punchestown.
