- VAMOS LUIGI (6) was an encouraging winner of his handicap debut and, on the evidence of that performance, seems capable of defying his 3kg penalty by following up in this opening event. QUE BELLA (4), herself a last-start winner, and MANDARB (1), who ought to benefit from his rider's 2,5kg weight allowance, could pose a threat in their first handicap appearances. CALON LAN (2), another handicap newcomer, is also likely to acquit himself competitively.
- LE ROCKEUR (2) is at the top of his game but has shot up the weights/ratings having won back-to-back handicaps including over track and trip two starts back. He is also poorly positioned in stall No 17, so is worth opposing under these conditions. SEIGNEUR (4) returns to his favorite course after a lackluster performance at Deauville and is marginally preferred ahead of PRESOMPTION (14), who should acquit himself competitively given his rider's 2,5kg weight allowance. BIG DRIFT (12), a regular at this level, and HARTWOOD MAN (9) complete the shortlist.
- A small but good quality field assembled for this three-year-old Listed race. Highly regarded WILL SCARLET (4) impressed when winning on his reappearance so it could pay to follow his progress. He gets the nod ahead of DOLLAR INDEX (3) who has already shown his class and is unbeaten this year after two successful comeback outings. FAST TRACKER (5), one of three runners bidding to complete a hat-trick of wins, top-rated SAGANTI (1), after an encouraging reappearance, and last-start winner WAHDAN (2) are also capable of playing a role in the finish.
- Wide open. It could, however, pay to side with GOLDENSIM (14) who is competitively weighted in this handicap on a course he enjoys. Consistent TERREDEGUERRE (8) is undeniably capable of playing a leading role but is awkwardly positioned in stall No 15, which also applies to MOUTARDE (5), another model of consistency unfavourably stationed alongside that rival in gate No 14. NORDESTE (4), who appreciates this PSF track, CENTRAL PARK WEST (3) are also candidates for success. HOLLYHOCK (9) is a lively outsider Tricky!
- This event for unraced two-year-olds may well be dominated by the fairer sex, given their 1,5kg sex allowance. DAYLIGHT (5) has a precious pedigree and represents a stable known for doing well with its youngsters, so she is marginally preferred ahead of well-bred HONEY STAR (9) and LA SAMANA (6), who Maxime Guyon is engaged to ride. Christopher Head-trained NAKED MEMORIES (4) makes most appeal of the colts.
- Well held in the Group III Prix Djebel, TORTISAMBERT (1) probably did not enjoy the heavy ground in what was his first attempt on turf. He is worth another chance in this lesser event. GENTLEMAN BEAUTY (4) has run some good races over this 1200m straight course and can fight for victory. A Listed winner last year, THE FIXER (5) makes a much-anticipated return to action., while lightly raced ZELASQUIN (2) is worth a market check.
- Course & distance winner FANG (3) scored on seasonal debut last year and followed up with two Group 3 victories. He is taken to make a successful return to action this season too. Well held in both starts this term, Group 2 winner GAME RUN (6) is likely to bounce back soon or later. TERRITORYWAR (1) showed significant progress in his last two runs and could pose a threat up in grade. PINAFORE (9) posted a solid comeback run recently and is not out of it.
- LOVE IS GOLD (4) enjoyed a very fruitful winter on the fibersand and should be in great shape after a much needed comeback run. SERIE (2) has been running well in Listed contests and is worth keeping an eye on back in the handicap division. STAR ROCK (16) posted a very promising effort on seasonal debut and could be the value in the race. VARIYNI (9) has shown significant progress since racing on the artificial tracks and can also be included in calculations. DEEP HOPE (1) is a proven horse in this class of event.
- GOLD PLAYER (6) can prove a little tricky but he has the ability to win a race of this nature if he can relax and breathe properly. IN PARADISE (11) is always very effective on the fibersand and would be suited by a strongly run race. She should be closely involved at the business end. Well drawn, the consistent FLEXIBILITY (5) is expected to feature prominently. Entrusted to a promising conditional jockey, PERTUSATO (7) is worth a mention.
- STAR DES CHARMES (4) showed plenty of promise when she was fourth at Le Mans over 1950m in early March on her sole run. With normal improvement, she looks like the best option ahead of LARA DES MOTTES (5) who is making her debut and is from the Francois Nicolle powerhouse. LIKATA (16) is also making her debut and ought to know her job. LA POTERIE (13) should also be taken seriously and should feature on her debut.
- LEBRIO DES MOTTES (3) could be the answer in this, he is from a leading stable and looks good on paper. ENJOY (4) looks good on paper and will be nicely trained for a leading role on debut. GARLIAT MUE (2) is one to keep safe, he has Kevin Nabet to guide him and he is from a leading stable. ESTURGEON BLEU (14) is another that has a taking profile and will be well-tuned for a leading role on his debut.
- MASTER NONANTAIS (1) has been competing in better class races of late and was a pleasing third at Auteuil in a Listed chase three runs ago in November. If emulating that form he will take a bit of beating. KING OF SAINTLY (6) is lightly raced and has more to come. His last run was encouraging when second at Angers in late March in a Class 3 chase. LOKMAN (8) won last time and ought to be thereabouts with improvement from a win last time. ILYVA (9) can feature if jumping better.
- KARAKTA (12) has been running well over hurdles in decent races of late and is trying fences for the first time. She can score on her debut over fences. JELKA DE MEE (1) could be the main danger after scoring over fences at Senonnes in mid-April last time. THE GOOD GIRL (9) ran well in a Class 2 chase at Compiegne when last appearing and can make the frame. KELIBIA (8) heads the remainder.
- OZALEE (5) is given the marginal vote in an open race after a decent fourth last time at Bordeaux Le Bouscat early last month. She can get a positive ride from Kevin Nabet. NIKITA HAS (13) will make her work hard for success and is one to keep safe on debut. FLORA QUEEN (6) ran well when fourth on her hurdle race debut and was a winner on the flat at this track over 3000m. She can be on the premises as could SOIE DE COEUR (4) who ran a promising second on her only start in late March at Senonnes.
- This could go the way of the nicely bred newcomer WORTH IT (8) who is out of a useful mare who won a Listed hurdle on her debut. He will be well-tuned by connections. BAISER DORE (16) looks like he could be the main danger after a promising run on debut in mid-April at Fontainebleau. KLOVIS BLEUE (5) is one for the each-way backers to take seriously. LE SONNEUR (4) makes up the shortlist.
- With a number of decent contenders in the mix, this is something of a head-scratcher, however it is very easy to like JASMIN DANOVER (4) who is barefoot following his harness freshener. JET BESP (5) took little time getting back in shape and is plainly close to his race, as is the more spirited JEWEL D'HERMES (3) who will be no pushover if Paul Ploquin keeps him trotting. After losing her way under harness, the useful JUNON DE LOU (11) debuts in the code, with Francois Lagadeuc in the irons, and could pleasantly surprise.
- Winner of 4-on-the-trot, INDIEN DE FAEL (4) races barefoot for his Enghien debut and has a realistic chance of pulling off the 5-timer. Benjamin Chauve-Laffay can nevertheless expect to meet resistance from a similarly-barefoot IT'S MY DREAM (2) who won like a good thing at Le Croise-Laroche, and IKURO JIEL (5) who will be expected to make up for losing his action that day. IDOLA PHEDO (3) won smartly last time under the saddle and, shoes off again, will not be far off the mark.
By Tom Weekes - UNDENIABLE ALIBI debuts in handicaps and has recent form. A point-to-point winner on debut, he won an ordinary February maiden and then ran well when finishing third at Naas last month, from which the fourth-placed horse has won since. Rumi returned from a year-long layoff when winning on the flat at Gowran. His fifth-placing to Irish Point in March 2023 reads very well and is unexposed in handicaps. Ballycallan King won quite easily at Limerick recently but has been raised 9lb while dual hurdle winner Killeenmore Lad ran well in a recent handicap and can compete. Bowmore remains a fraction unexposed despite being a beaten favourite when last seen at Thurles in December. Four-year-old Club Manager is 9lb higher than when winning on handicap hurdle debut last month and while open to further progression over jumps, was nonetheless rated just 65 on the flat. Holly is the first runner of her newly combined-training licensees and has recent handicap form. Judicieuse Allen wasn't beaten too far in a pair of subsequent Grade 3s but was pulled up in a recent Grade 1 although drops in distance. Catena Zapata was well beaten on handicap debut.
By Tom Weekes - In common with many high-class novices, BLOOD DESTINY is dangerous on handicap debut. His chase form is consistently strong and although just a five-year-old, has sufficient experience to tackle his first big-field race. Path D'oroux has competed at every big festival since early December and having run well in similar valuable handicaps on each of his last four runs, should again compete under today's 5lb claimer. Stablemate and former County Hurdle winner Saint Roi hasn't won since a Grade 1 success in December 2022 but ran well at Aintree while Captains Nephew is 10lb higher than when winning at Fairyhouse (Figaroc was a distant third). Recent Tramore winner Gua Du Large's previous hurdle win was gained when rated 126 so has claims from a light weight, rated 125. A mid-race blunder scuppered Uncle Phil's recent Ayr raid but had previously shown handicap form. Pinkerton has a tougher task than when winning recently at Tipperary. Solness disappointed at Cheltenham and runs in first-time cheekpieces under a 5lb claimer while Enniskerry hasn't run since August and would appreciate good ground.
By Tom Weekes - COKO BEACH was beaten 33 lengths in the Aintree National but had previously won over this course in February. Suited by soft ground and a dour stayer, he can put last month's experience to good use. A fifteen-year-old won this race in 2022 although last year's winner Vital Island - now aged 12, was pulled up behind the selection in that February race and should struggle to beat him. In-form Birchdale himself defeated Vital Island to win over this course last November but might also find the selection too strong. Stumptown is an in-form capable handicap chaser who stays very well but debuts over banks while The Bosses Oscar was placed in a Lingstown banks' race in November and needs to improve to win. Subset won at last year's festival but his best form is on good ground while Singing Banjo, winner of the 2021 renewal, is now 14 and his recent form is poor. Banks' debutante Bodhisattva was placed in the Ulster National and likes a stamina test while Enjoy D'allen's recent form is disappointing.
By Tom Weekes - GAELIC WARRIOR gained his first Cheltenham win in March and is a standout performer who is ideally suited by conditions. His right-jumping tendency was less evident last month but nonetheless was then registering just his second win from eight attempts racing left-handed, and is unbeaten from five run going in this direction. He has twice comfortably defeated Il Etait Temps and should uphold placings. Il Etait Temps was himself a fine top-level Aintree winner 21 days ago but doesn't have the selection's ability. Hercule Du Seuil received a minor bump at the start at Aintree last month but was well held and looks most likely to finish third. Mount Frisco is a busy five-year-old who has progressed with every recent run and while he can continue to climb the handicap ladder, is unlikely to trouble his rivals.
By Michael Graham - There is rain forecast for Punchestown on Thursday, but Teahupoo would really need plenty. As this season's Cheltenham Stayers' Hurdle winner, he is the one to beat but is swerved at a short price on forecast ground that doesn't ideally suit him. HOME BY THE LEE was unable to get on terms with Teahupoo in third at Cheltenham, but has a shot at getting closer on this ground. He has been lightly raced and could come to the boil here. Sire Du Berlais can be in and out in terms of form, but has a decent record on better ground and was third in this race last year.
By Michael Graham - CAPTAIN CODY is up in trip and would welcome rain, but his class could see him through for Willie Mullins. He was a decisive winner of a Grade 2 novice hurdle over 2m4f in Fairyhouse at the end of March which bodes well for this assignment. Maxxum wasn't quite done with when falling after two out in a Grade 2 hurdle at Fairyhouse and has his chance back with Carl Millar taking 7lb off his back. Captain Cody's stablemate, O'moore Park, could respond well to the first-time hood while Coming Up Easy hacked up in a maiden hurdle at Limerick and lurks towards the bottom of the weights for Henry de Bromhead.
By Michael Graham - SPINDLEBERRY outran her odds when a creditable runner-up in a Grade 1 mares' novices' hurdle in Fairyhouse which gives her leading claims for Willie Mullins. Her stablemate, Got Glory, is certainly one to note. She actually made her Irish debut in a Grade 1 mares' novice hurdle at Fairyhouse last year, but was pulled up after racing freely. She has had her issues, but returned almost a year later to hack up in a Naas maiden hurdle. Me Wee Bonnie Lass is a very likeable sort who is three from four over flights and won't be lacking in toughness while British-raider Casa No Mento isn't out of it.
By Michael Graham - SAMYR impressed with a clear-cut success in his bumper on heavy ground at Gowran Park and should improve on better ground considering he was bought to go on the Flat. Port Joulain merits automatic respect as he represents team Mullins. After his Gowran Park success in March, Willie Mullins commented that he would have been one for Cheltenham, but that he couldn't get him ready in time. Mullins' Cantico was eased when beaten in the Cheltenham Champion Bumper and could bounce back on this ground. Angelo Dundee hasn't been seen since winning a bumper on debut at the Punchestown Festival last year, but has plenty of ability.
- Runner-up on both of his career starts, Moon Man ought to make a good fist of things if proving as effective on the turf but, though respected, JUNGLE LAND shades preference. This looks a good starting point for the son of Kodiac, who is a half-brother to the useful Fresh. Karl Burke's juveniles have been firing on the grass so far this year and it would come as no surprise were he to make an immediate impact. Spiritual Pursuit can chase the pair home.
- Sound Of Iona finds herself extremely well handicapped on last year's turf form and should not be underestimated despite a poor string of results, while Emperor Caradoc, who is similarly well treated, could improve for a drop in trip and the fitting of first-time cheekpieces. That being said, it is SIXCOR that gets the vote. Linda Perratt's six-year-old has gained three of his four turf victories over C&D and is now 5lb lower than when finishing down the field in this race 12 months ago.
- GLOBAL HUMOR found only an in-form rival too strong when occupying the runner-up berth over 6f here on Monday, and this looks to be a good opportunity for Jim Goldie's gelding to go one better. Stablemate and perennial slow starter Rory is competitively treated and ought to hold every chance if breaking on terms, while the lightly-raced Plink is worth closer inspection in the first-time tongue-tie.
- Less exposed than her rivals, ROSE DONNELLY can make some good headway now she tackles handicaps and looks worth chancing on her debut run in this sphere, especially as she runs off a workable mark. All-weather scorer Midnight Lion, who has experience under both codes, rates the chief threat to selection on his first Flat run on turf, while Pol Roger enters calculations with this step up in distance a potential source of improvement.
- HEADABOVETHEREST got better the further he went over 7f at Newcastle 16 days ago and was only outdone by one who got first run on the day. That was promising given it was his first run since having a wind operation and, with this longer trip a key factor, the Rebecca Menzies-trained four-year-old shades the vote. Farhhfromforgotten is feared on just his third run for current connections, while Vellner also appeals off an attractive mark.
- ANIMATO performed creditably to finish third over 1m4f at Doncaster last Friday, despite suffering interference at the start. This longer distance could be a good move on the back of that encouraging effort and the David O'Meara-trained gelding appeals most. Tafsir also turns out quickly after Monday's near miss over 1m5f here and is a must for consideration off the same mark. Show No Fear completes the shortlist.
- All eyes will be on LAUTREC as he makes his return following a winning start at Newcastle in November. The son of Kingman boasts some top-class relatives, including 2,000 Guineas hero Magna Grecia and St Mark's Basilica, and victory here may well tee him up for a visit to the Knavesmire, where he holds a Dante entry. Niigata cost 85,000gns and is respected given his connections, while Candle Of Dubai, a half-sister to useful stayer Sleeping Lion, is another newcomer of interest.
- EGOISTE has improved considerably over the past few months by stringing together a consistent level of form and the five-year-old arrives in search of a hat-trick of victories, having won twice at Wolverhampton in March. He beat the same rival on each occasion and produced a career-best display when scoring comfortably on the most recent of those outings, so an 8lb rise may not be enough to halt him. Wadacre Grace, Smart Deal and Red Hat Eagle are others likely to enter the reckoning.
- PFINGSTBERG showed promise on a number of occasions last season without getting his head in front and the four-year-old, who disappointed on his final start at Thirsk in September, could have more to offer stepping up in trip. Socialist Agenda went up 4lb for his Southwell victory last month and is respected along with the third from that contest, Foinix, who may get closer to that rival in first-time blinkers. Merry Minister's recent third here also gives him valid claims.
- JABAARA was far from disgraced when finishing sixth in the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket in September. The ratings suggest that Roger Varian's filly holds leading claims on her seasonal reappearance and she may be able to fend off Soprano, who finished just behind the selection in seventh that day. The daughter of Starspangledbanner has since undergone a wind operation and she isn't taken lightly, while the progressive Pandora's Gift cannot be ruled out in her quest to land a four-timer.
- LAOISMAN resumed his progress when scoring a shade cosily on his reappearance at Wolverhampton last month. A 3lb rise in the ratings looks far from insurmountable for the Night Of Thunder gelding and a fourth consecutive victory looks on the horizon. Having posted a close-up second on his stable bow at Yarmouth in April, the biggest threat may emerge from Dubai Station. This drop in class should suit Sir Oliver and he also enters calculations now back off his last winning mark.
- SIR RODNEYREDBLOOD hit the crossbar off this mark over course and distance a couple of weeks ago and the seven-year-old merits plenty of respect on the back of that performance. Northcliff has not been beaten far on either of his last two starts and could prove to be the main threat to the selection, although Thismydream and Man On A Mission are others with valid form claims.
- AMROON put in an encouraging effort when filling second place on his return to action over 7f at Wolverhampton nine days ago and Marco Botti's gelding is hard to oppose as a result. Little White Dove has improved with every start to date and has to be of some interest on her handicap debut, while Cogsworth edges out Ocean Bliss to be the pick of the rest.
- A tentative vote goes to BLAZING SON, who didn't show much last time out at Thirsk but is better judged on his previous efforts on the all-weather this year. With his only victory on turf coming on heavy ground and given he produced a strong runner-up effort over C&D last August, Bryan Smart's charge is narrowly preferred to Supreme King, who scored comfortably at Kempton on his penultimate outing. King's Crown is capable of being in the mix as well.
- Karl Burke won this last year with subsequent Group 3 winner Elite Status, and he could have another smart two-year-old on his hands with ARABIE. Related to a whole host of smart winners, the son of Dandy Man showed up well for a long way on debut at Thirsk, before a more experienced sort got the better of him late on. With normal improvement expected, he can see off the likes of creditable Windsor fourth Off The Bench and newcomer Studious.
- LITTLE ROSE has been a work in progress for the William Haggas stable, but she looked to have got the hang of things when scoring with consummate ease at Beverley last week. A 6lb penalty for that success will make life tougher, but she seems more than capable of making up almost three lengths with the reopposing Solar Bentley (second) from their clash at Wolverhampton in March. Another to note is Surrey Force, who could be a different proposition tackling handicaps for the first time.
- ISLE OF SARK posted another creditable effort in defeat when a close-up third over 1m2f at Chelmsford last week. The combination of a switch to turf and a return to 1m4f shouldn't inconvenience the six-year-old and a belated second career victory could be in the offing. A first-time hood could settle the keen-going Incremental, who is feared most, while the in-form Fleur De Mer is also likely to be in the mix.
- There was plenty of encouragement to be taken from Sherman Tank's debut third at Newcastle in November and David Simcock's gelding must enter calculations on his return to action. However, newcomer CORONADO KING, a half-brother to French Group 1 winner Castle Lady, boasts an attractive pedigree and he could have too much class for these rivals. The Exceed And Excel colt may take this en route to bigger things, while any market support for fellow debutant Transitioning would also be interesting.
- A heavy ground winner at Ayr when last seen in October, LAVA STREAM appeals as the one to beat given her ability to handle testing conditions. A mark of 74 does not look beyond the Too Darn Hot filly, although handicap debutant Blake could make a good fist of things now switched to the turf. Royal Tapestry might prove best of the remainder.
- Mr Irrelevant cruised to victory at Ripon five days ago and would appear to hold every chance of following up under a 6lb penalty, but a chance is taken on WOODLEIGH. Declan Carroll's charge looked in need of the run when finishing third, behind Mr Irrelevant (second), at the North Yorkshire venue a fortnight ago and he could step forward eased 2lb in the ratings on his second start following wind surgery. Others to note include Ottoman Force and Eighth Army.
- Beaten by just a length in a similar race over course and distance in March, ENOUGH ALREADY appeals strongly for a race of this nature, especially with Kaiya Fraser retaining the ride. On The Right Track has won over this trip when fresh in the past and, resuming off the same mark as when a respectable third in a deeper race at Wolverhampton in October, is entitled to be in the mix. Born Ruler disappointed last time out but may do better with the longer trip likely to suit.
- Rated 86 at his best for another yard, GLOBAL WARNING remains attractively weighted in comparison and, off just 63 here, the eight-year-old looks worth chancing in a wide-open contest. Daisy Roots can give the selection the most to think about if building on last month's near miss at Brighton, while dropping back in trip should be be beneficial for dual C&D winner Rabinal, who is considered off just 2lb above his last winning mark.
- PABLO DEL PUEBLO tends to go well for Georgia Dobie and, as a four-time course and distance winner, the six-year-old has a lot going for him off 13lb below his last winning mark. Wedgewood has been in good form of late and benefits from an eye-catching jockey booking, having won under Luke Morris before. Zing Up is another previous C&D winner to bear in mind with cheekpieces reapplied after possibly going off too fast when tried in a visor on her latest start.
- ROSA APPLAUSE confirmed the promise that she displayed on debut when winning easily at Wolverhampton in November and the daughter of Blue Point merits the utmost respect on her return to action. Dance And Romance won on her racecourse bow at Southwell recently and is clearly the main threat to the selection. The rest do not inspire a lot of confidence, but Princess Jastar is the pick of them.
- CRIMSON ANGEL has not been beaten far on either start so far this year and the step back up to 6f could help Clive Cox's filly to earn her third career victory. Another Thought failed to fire on her final start as a juvenile but is a player based on her previous performances, while Cinque Verde edges out Violets Star to be best of the rest.
- Despite 20 races and three wins on the all-weather, this will be the first time that STRATEGIC FORTUNE has raced here. That said, his trainer won this contest 12 months ago and the son of Power has won off this mark before, so he could well have a big say in the finish. Platinum Prince would be the obvious danger after a neck second at Chelmsford off 1lb lower last month, leaving the returning Magical Dragon as a tentative suggestion for third.
- SUNSET IN PARIS failed in his hat-trick bid when a well-beaten fourth at Brighton last month, but a return to the all-weather may see him get back to winning ways. Come On John looks the biggest danger after his Chelmsford fourth, while Forever Proud isn't one to ignore if bouncing back to the form of his success here in February.
- HAPPY HELEN produced her best effort to date when fourth at Thirsk in August and an opening mark of 56 appears to be more than workable based on that performance. Alextrician has been running with credit on the all-weather and may well be a threat on his first outing on turf. Others capable of taking a step forward include Alice's Impact and Lady Of Time.
- INTERTWINED made a promising enough start when third at Newbury just under a fortnight ago when displaying signs of inexperience. With that outing under her belt, that piece of form arguably sets the standard and she wouldn't need to improve much to get off the mark. Bellasio is best judged on his debut second at Newcastle, having disappointed at the same venue on his only outing since, while Paborus completes the shortlist after his fourth on debut at Thirsk in August.
- NOT REAL was just denied on her racecourse debut at Kempton last month, having been outpaced at a crucial point, and the daughter of Kodiac has been found an excellent opportunity to open her account. Pendlebury Lane makes her first appearance since September 2022 and it seems notable that connections have kept her in training. She appears to be the likely main threat, with newcomer Highfield Heiress appealing most of the remainder.
- A highly-encouraging second on his return from a long break at Yarmouth last week, EXCEED should be open to plenty of improvement and a mark of 59 may underestimate this consistent four-year-old. A winner of three of his last four starts, King Of The Jungle is likely to be thereabouts, along with Showalong, who ran his best race for some time at Pontefract recently and should enjoy this ground.
- HOPEFUL looked a filly to keep on side when easily seeing off a subsequent winner at Newcastle in January, although she blotted her copybook over the same track and trip last time. A well-bred daughter of Make Believe, Andrew Balding's filly is intriguing on her handicap debut and stepping up in trip could bring about some improvement. Making his return after ending last season with a highly-creditable second at Kempton, No Surrender looks to be the main danger, while Never Ending is one to watch on her first start for a new yard.
- A taking winner at Newcastle on his penultimate outing and a respectable second since, CHIEFMAN sets the standard and soft ground shouldn't be an issue for this son of Cracksman. Between Me And U hasn't set the world alight since joining Alice Haynes but remains a capable sort on his day and he looks a bigger threat to the selection than Kaaress.
- MORNING MIRACLE remains open to improvement after just two career starts and she can make this foray into calmer waters a winning one. Iuka Miss and Chiquita Reina can also go well.
- The class-dropping MOR HAPPY HOURS has been highly tried of late, and this ease in grade may be enough to see her wind up in the winner's enclosure. Noble Bernadette and K'antheia are respected most out of the remainder.
- PRECISENESS fetched $250,000 at the sales and after showing some ability in her workouts, she gets the tentative vote before any market clues are known. La Fantastica and Minty are two others for the shortlist.
- The consistent ANGKOR gets the vote after his win over C&D last time, although Closethegame Sugar and Scotland should not be discounted.
- Brilliant Berti and Thermoscope both merit consideration but preference is for ROCKY JOY, who was only beaten a neck into second here last time.
- CLASSIC LEGACY has gone close on both starts in 2024 and this represents a fine opportunity for the son of Into Mischief to strike. Castlewarden and Underhill's Tab are both likely to be in the mix.
- GENEROUS LOVER wasn't quite at her best here in March and it wouldn't be a huge surprise if the filly returned to winning ways. The main threats are likely to be Sassy Walker and In Color.
- This represents a fair drop in grade for RISK MANAGER, which can help him return to winning ways. Miranda Rights and Dripping Gold are just two others to consider.
- SHOOT IT TRUE bolted up by over seven lengths when taking care of Strummin (second) over an extended 4f at Keeneland earlier in the month and she looks the one to beat. The Queens M G completes the shortlist.
- BANGO hit the frame in much tougher contests when last seen in November and he looks to have found a good opportunity on his return. Manny Wah and Bourbon Bash could also get involved.
- CARL SPACKLER has been in excellent form of late and the hat-trick looks very much on the cards for the son of Lope De Vega. He is preferred to the likes of Ice Chocolat and Talk Of The Nation.
- A determined winner over this distance at Turfway Park in January, POWER ALLEY should have plenty more to come and he can notch up a third career victory. That may be at the main expense of Mucho Mojo and My Romeo Lima.
- PACIFIC ZIP represents a trainer very much on the hot list and on the back of an excellent second most recently, she edges preference. Emily Smiles and Sweet Sonny also warrant respect.
- SHOUT IT OUT gets the vote following her second over 6f here last time, while Mary Margaret and Jasmine Chieftain are next best.
- Inesperado and Joker Matt could both go well, but preference is for IRISH HEATWAVE based on his narrow second over C&D last time.
- Four-time course winner CHRISSY LEDOUX could be worth chancing on her return to action. Last-time-out winners Thats Whats Up and Lightning Girl are feared most.
- It's hard to look beyond WICKED COWGIRL SMART, who is unbeaten in three appearances at this venue and arrives at the top of her game. Hes My Sweetheart and Av Tornadoe Warning can fight it out for the silver medal.
- This represents a drop in grade for SPRINKLES and she may have too much class for these rivals. Bonita Dixie and Boosical Lady top the list of threats.
- DRISKILL was a four-length victor over 5f here last time and he should have no issues with this longer trip. Moonlite Graham and Mischievousholiday are feared most.
- ARIZONA LINDY was just touched off by a neck into second over track and trip on her latest outing and she can go one better. Tia Suzi and Karma De Ville can follow her home.
- BEYOND AWESOME beat Outside The Law (second) and Unrivaled Queen (third) over an extended 6f here last time and she can confirm that form to record a double. Sharp Attitude completes the shortlist.
- A few with chances but DESERT GAL is fancied to reverse the form of her recent C&D second with Arizona Reina (winner) to record a maiden victory. Curlin's Lil Gal and Top Review should not be written off either.
