Clonmel Thu, 16th May, 2024  Natural Look She is rising nine and when you start to think about going to stud and covering them. We gave her a break after being pulled up at Leopardstown and I said to David (Needham, owner) would we give somebody a chance to claim her and buy a younger horse. To be fair to her she has won four races and been placed ten times. She has been a great mare for us and collected a couple of bonuses along the way as well. If she’s claimed she’s claimed and if she’s coming home we’re happy as well.

Punchestown Thu, 2nd May, 2024  Pinkerton He is a horse that gets 2m very well and it was a burst of speed I had never felt off him before. He is not overly big but he jumps slick and likes plenty cover. He did everything right the whole way round. He came out of last week's race great. I was a disappointed he didn't win a bit easier there as it was a very ordinary contest, he struggled a bit and was maybe in front a bit long. Today when he went to the front he wandered a bit going to the last. It's great for the owners to win here, he's been a super little horse for them. He's the first horse Philip (Polly) bought off me and that's the first time he's won for them. He's tough and the jockey is very good, he's very strong. He mightn't go on real quick ground, he wants an ease, but we'll carry on for the moment and see how we go.

Tipperary Tue, 23rd Apr, 2024  Pinkerton I suppose he was entitled to win with the way the race cut up, but he was pulling up a bit in front and got lonely. He (Ewing) said he also wouldn't want it any quicker. When he started jumping fences first, he jumped them really well, and was good enough and jumped well today. He was probably entitled to win even better than he won but he won, so I won't complain. He will keep going for another while on easy ground.

Cheltenham Wed, 13th Mar, 2024  Langer Dan They are a brilliant group of owners, they’ve been with me a long time. After two winners we’re going to go and have an expected party now!. It’s been a remarkable day, I’m just very proud of the horses, they are running out of their skins. It’s remarkable that the horses are in such great form, Harry gave him a fantastic ride. He was a bit further forward than he needed to be but he found two big jumps and my only concern turning in was that he was there to be aimed at. He was never going to stop over two miles and I don’t think he’s been quite getting home over further. I’m in a very lucky position, I’m the head of the team but I’m not the team itself. This has been a really satisfying day for all of us.

Fairyhouse Wed, 24th Jan, 2024  Rusheen I’m delighted to get that as I was afraid of my life that we were going to get caught again today. He’s a grand horse and we’ll see what the handicapper does and tip away. He’s a chaser but won’t jump a fence until next year. He handles that ground but hopefully will be better on better ground. He’s naturally a very good jumper but not quite as good on that ground.
