Clonmel Thu, 16th May, 2024  Tideways Hero She jumped really well but is a bit keen still and ran a bit fresh but Rachael did a great job. She came through really nice. We gave her a good break over the winter. She’s a real good ground mare and looks like she might have strengthened up a bit so I’m delighted.

Ballinrobe Fri, 19th Apr, 2024  On The Steel He's a lovely horse and had a couple of nice bumper runs. We knew he wanted a bit of better ground. He's still a baby, still learning on the job, and will be better over a little bit further, I think. We didn't go that hard and I was a happy to sit a bit handier than I'd planned to be and to be pushing it along when I could. He jumped great and he's finished off great. The ground has dried out. There's no heavy in it at all and I'd nearly be calling it yielding to soft. It's definitely on the better side of soft anyway.

Gowran Park Sat, 9th Mar, 2024  Queen Nel It’s a nice surprise. She’s not the quickest, but you didn’t need to be on that ground today and she stayed galloping. It probably wasn’t the strongest race, but I’m delighted with her and she’s a homebred. She can go up in trip on better ground and we might find a winners' race next for her. My nephew (Ray) rides her all the time at home, and he thought she was going better the last month.

Gowran Park Sat, 17th Feb, 2024  Flashaway Flashaway has a super pedigree and Nelius (O'Keeffe, owner) sent her up to us in great fettle. She was tough and hardy and I wouldn’t be surprised if she was better on better ground. I’d imagine we might be looking at some of those black type bumpers at the end of the season. it means a lot to win Ronan’s race.

Clonmel Thu, 15th Feb, 2024  The Lord Maid She is improving every time she runs and her pedigree suggests the older she gets the better she'll run. I was questioning with all the rain, but Philip said she loved that ground and he gave her a cracking ride. She kept going and going the last day, so we changed tactics today and her jumping was brilliant. The more she runs the better she'll get. We'll give her a couple of weeks and she likes that ground, so hopefully that ground will come again. She is also very good over fences, but we'll stay hurdling for the time being. That's my second winner and my first jumps winner. I have a few horses which hopefully will show something over the next few days and have 15 or 16 of our own horses.

Fairyhouse Sat, 13th Jan, 2024  Mint Boy He maybe needed the line a bit there, but three miles suits him - he stays well. We'll see what the handicapper does and maybe look for something similar. It was a good run the last time and it's nice to win here.

Leopardstown Fri, 29th Dec, 2023  Champagne Admiral It was an unbelievable ride by Michael. I was thinking of dropping him in and getting him to switch off and Michael said he wasn't happy and, maybe if there was no pace, he'd make up his own mind. You saw the result we got. We were happy with his mark but the handicapper is rarely wrong, as we know. In fairness, maybe he did give us a little bit of a chance, but he's a good horse.
