Curragh Sun, 26th May, 2024 Zaynab She’s a nice filly and is progressing well. Obviously we bought her because she is a half-sister to Zanahiyr. She’s coming along steady, is tough and put her head down when needed today. We stepped her up in class to see where we were really. We bought her as a yearling to be a juvenile hurdler, but we might have to redirect her now!. We’ll probably have a look at the Sandringham now in Royal Ascot, a mile fillies only. She probably needs a little bit of kindness in the ground, but Noel and Valerie would love a day out in Royal Ascot. |
Punchestown Sat, 4th May, 2024 Minella Crooner He's a tough horse who came out of a good home in John Nallen's. The race suited and he seemed to get his own way. He dug in well on the run-in and Sam was very good on him. He dropped his whip so thank God he won. He's a very good rider. |
Punchestown Thu, 2nd May, 2024 Wingmen We think he's a proper horse. It just didn't work out the last day but he's a very good horse. He's a very quick horse but he'll definitely stay further anyway. |
Punchestown Thu, 2nd May, 2024 Maxxum I was really looking forward to getting back on board him anyways. I tried to ride him very similar to when I won at Leopardstown on him, just keeping it simple on him,. he just got into a lovely rhythm and wasn't for catching. Carl seems to only win 100 grand handicaps!. He's a great fella, he's working full time in the yard and he deserves every bit of success he's getting. He doesn't do anything wrong and keeps it very simple. He was running a great race the last day in Fairyhouse and took a false step after the second last and fell. We came here fresh today, took a chance, and it worked out great. |
Punchestown Thu, 2nd May, 2024 Teahupoo He is really after stamping his authority on the staying division. This lad is brilliant. You can go wherever you want on him. You can make a move and go forward on him without lighting him up or anything. It was great for the horse and great for Jack, he has a big battle and it's going to be a long tough week. He said he was stuck in a bit of a pocket behind Paul and he had to get out. He said the ground might be as quick as he wants it but he was very good. He's a great horse. |
